MCP is leaving the enterprise SaaS stack and moving into the software where movies and games get made. At SIGGRAPH 2026, which opened July 20 in Los Angeles, NVIDIA said major creative applications now expose Model Context Protocol connections so AI agents can operate inside the tools where scenes, shots, and edits actually happen, while creators keep control.
From Adobe to Unreal
The named integrations span the creative pipeline. Per NVIDIA, Adobe's Firefly AI Assistant orchestrates multi-step workflows across Creative Cloud; Affinity by Canva ships an AI Connector for Claude that handles natural-language layer renaming, resizing, and bulk edits; Blender exposes a lightweight MCP server fronting its Python API; SideFX Houdini 22 adds MCP through an APEX Script workflow for procedural rigging; and Unreal Engine gains an AI client connection into editor capabilities.
