Alibaba Cloud ships Agent Native Cloud, a home for fleets of working agents

The orchestration layer is becoming the product. At the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai on July 18, Qi Zhou, who heads Alibaba Cloud's Cloud-Native Application Platform, unveiled Agent Native Cloud, a cloud architecture built specifically for running AI agents at scale, per Crypto Briefing.
The platform has three parts. AgentTeams orchestrates multiple specialized agents against shared goals. Agentic Computer gives each agent a secure, cloud based execution environment. Underneath sits redesigned infrastructure with native sandboxes, workload isolation, elastic scaling, and enterprise identity integration, the unglamorous plumbing that separates a demo from a deployment.
Alibaba's own numbers, with the usual caveat
The showcase stat sheet came from Alibaba's internal use, and should be read as vendor claims: 15 coordinated agents now handle 85 percent of its developer support requests, operational support time is down 90 percent, and software release cycles compress to a single day. Zhou's framing was that advantage comes from turning agents into "controllable, reusable, collaborative, and continuously evolving organizational assets," not from deploying more of them.
The fleet management race goes global
That pitch will sound familiar to anyone tracking the Western stack. Alation is selling an operating system for keeping agent fleets in sync, Microsoft merged AutoGen and Semantic Kernel into one orchestration framework, and every cloud now wants to be the place where agents clock in. Alibaba's entry matters because it bundles orchestration, execution, and identity in the same platform where Chinese enterprises already buy compute, and because it launched into a WAIC where every major Chinese vendor was courting the same enterprise buyers. The agent fleet is no longer a research pattern. It is a line item on a cloud bill.
